Each genuine freshwater pearl is hand knotted in place using silk cord.  This is the time honored way to string pearls properly.  It will eliminate losing your entire strand should you ever catch the necklace and break it.  It also makes for a beautiful handcrafted piece of jewelry which will last to pass on to someone special some day.

This necklace is 14 and 12 inches in length creating a choker length, so it sits just in the the hollow of the throat.

The natural turquoise beads bring my southwest flair to the piece.  The clasp is a traditional pearl clasp of sterling silver.
