A pair of vermeil (sterling silver gold plated) chain link cufflinks.  This pair of unusual and very stylish cufflinks are design to go around the outside of the complete cuff, not seen today.  Each cufflink has a sprung hing at the top of the center bar, which allows one side to open. This can then be passed through the button hole of the shirt, and then snapped shut, forming a complete 'U' shape.  They are designed to resemble a chain link pattern, and once closed are quite seamless.  The cufflinks come in the original Hermès cufflink box.  Fully signed Hermès, and with French control marks for sterling silver.  Circa 1970's.
